Blitzø and Stolas have finally started a real relationship. Both agreed to take things slow, but when Loona leaves for the night, they just can't help themselves. Suddenly they're faced with an entirely new problem as Stolas' lack of magic results in him becoming gravid.
Professor Lucifer Morningstar, a scholar of American literature, treasured one book above all others. In his bleakest hours, that story had been his lifeline, reminding him that every soul is worthy of a second chance.
Its title was The Hazbin Hotel.
What Lucifer could not possibly have known, however, was that the man with whom he had—much against his will—recently become acquainted, a certain Alastor who delighted in belittling his favourite novel and his taste in literature, was in fact the very author of that book.

Blitzø chuckled at the memory of Loona’s first vocalized opinion on the movie that he’d so fondly shared with his mother. They had made fun of it, too, when he’d been just a little Impling, so it had been nothing short of a balm on Blitzø when Loona inadvertently revived the tradition with him.
But that wasn’t gonna get him anywhere with Octavia. And after getting some ideas from Stolas, Blitzø had gleefully gone and done… this…
“Fine,” Blitzø sighs, dumping the rest of his cereal into the sink. “Since you really wanna do chores, let’s do this thing.” He treats Stolas to a smile, all assurance and warmth, to coax the same onto the owl's features. He feels a little dizzy looking at him. “‘Cuz, y’know, it’ll take some weight off my shoulders.”
“Oh, Blitz! Really?” Stolas trills a gleeful owlish chirp, his white pupils morphing into star shapes. “This is going to be so much fun, my darling! How do we begin? What labor do we perform first?”

Part 2 of Static & Starlight
Stolas' healing begins the day after the trial, though it doesn't exactly feel like healing.
He wakes up in Blitz's apartment, surrounded by Blitz's warmth and caring, none of which Stolas thinks he deserves. The last thing he wants is to be a burden, especially to Blitz.
As that first month progresses and the full moon approaches, Blitz and Stolas try to navigate this liminal space between knowing that they are in love with each other and being able to fully accept and act on that love.
So much has happened. So much is still uncertain.
At least neither of them have to navigate this new life alone.
“Oh, my boy. My sweet boy,” Amélie whispered, her shaky voice cutting through the quiet of the embassy. She moved across the marble floor in quick steps and stopped in front of him. He was much taller now — she barely reached his shoulder — but she paid it no mind. She dropped the briefcase to cup his face. He leaned into the touch.
“Maman…” There was a layer of static in his voice, but it was unmistakable. That accent, that intonation — it was Alastor. After a century apart, she was finally reunited with her son.
Or, Alastor's mother finds a way to visit her son in Hell, finds out he's been dating the Devil (who's very much pregnant), and has a lot of revelations about things she once thought she knew.
The morning after the gala, Lucifer needs to set a few things right. Including un-horsifying Blitz, recovering from the anti-magic, and the small matter of coming clean to his daughter about his inappropriate relationship with her hotel manager. Should be simple, right?
