Yuuri walked towards Victor Nikiforov like a man heading to his execution.
A commemorative photo didn't sound too bad, and it was probably his last chance to get one.

Yuuri bitterly takes Victor up on his offer and ends up very surprised.
Part 1 of Dream Weaver
When pair skater Yuuri Katsuki’s career comes to a scandalous end, he does not expect the retired pair skating legend Viktor Nikiforov to suggest that they compete together. But taking on a new skating partner is full of trial and error, and the skating world doesn’t know how to react when the Katsuki-Nikiforov duo, against all odds, starts doing well. The last thing either of them should do, as they strive for their last chance at greatness, is to fall in love. Yuuri knows he is damaged goods, and Viktor knows his body is starting to fail him. They have competitions to survive and medals to win. No, falling in love is out of the question; they’re just very good friends. And even if Viktor felt something, he’d never act on it, and even if Yuuri happened to be hopelessly in love, he’d be mortified if Viktor ever found out.
“We’re just done with our last job, leaving the hospital now,” Phichit answered, putting his own seatbelt on as Yuuri steered the ambulance out towards the main road. “You got a new one for us?”
“Yes, a feral alpha on S:t Sigferd Street, by the park. Doesn’t seem to speak English,” the dispatcher reported, the information showing on the touch screen in the car. Yuuri didn’t look, simply guidning the car towards the address. After spending four years as a paramedic in this city, he knew the roads well. “Can you take it?”
All Yuuri wanted to do was pet a dog, but a drunk stranger decided to hit on him instead.
All Victor wanted to do was pet a dog, but a panicked Yuuri grabbed his arm in need of a pretend boyfriend.
In an alternate world where Victor is a PhD candidate and Yuuri is the university's most popular jock, timing is everything.
Victor learns Japanese while in Hasetsu. He doesn't tell Yuuri, and things get dicey when he overhears Yuuri and Mari talking about him in Japanese. Repeatedly.
It’s Japanese Nationals. Yuuri is focused on trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the Japanese skating community after last season’s performance. The Japanese figure skating community is focused on the fact that their Ace is back on top with a World Champion fiance.
