So what if Dean hates Valentine's Day? It's apparently some magic pocket in time where anything and everything is possible, even gaining the attention and affection of one Castiel Novak. Dean is going for it. Although maybe Seventeen Magazine isn't the place to get ideas.
Cas and Charlie swap bodies and mistaken identities result in new revelations.
Cas is sold. He’s sold on Dean constantly being in his space, bringing with him loud friends and louder family (and constant hugs and support and love of a kind that makes Cas want to call his own siblings more often) and now apparently also baby animals that will shed on his carpets and sleep on his bed and Cas couldn’t care less. Even if it means listening to Dean sneezing up a storm and having to buy anti-histamines when Dean runs out and forgets to replenish his stock. Cas will take it all.
Castiel Novak had hoped that college would be a new start, that the invisibility he’d suffered in high school would magically go away, but that hadn’t happened. Instead he was still the same socially awkward loner with few friends. When a gorgeous guy started sitting next to him in General Psych, Cas suffered his crush in silence. When that same gorgeous guy showed up at his apartment door to pick up his roommate for a date, he continued to suffer in silence. Of course Dean would be dating Lisa. They were both members of that alien species called ‘beautiful people’. But when Cas learned that Lisa was just dating Dean as a springboard to bigger and better things? He couldn’t stay silent any longer.
When Cas arrives at the Bunker, clearly ill, and keeps having trouble remembering Dean or Sam or English, the brothers have to resort to a spell which paints Cas in sigils in an effort to anchor him to his own memories. The brothers aren't prepared to experience Cas' memories for themselves. Through events they thought they knew and ones they didn't knew existed, Sam and Dean will have to face the fact that with the years between them, and even with Dean secretly learning Enochian, they still haven't fully translated Castiel. If this works, they will have Cas with them and a whole new understanding, but the full extent of what it means to be Cas might be more than Dean can handle.
Dean’s not very keen on explaining he doesn’t want to go on a date with Anna’s brother because he’s smitten—and he hates, hates, hates using the word smitten—with a dark-haired stranger whose name he doesn’t know.
Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak became pen pals because of a school assignment, and they tried not to get attached to one another. They really did. Sort of. Barely.
"The shirt falls to the floor. Dean’s entire body is trembling, his stomach clenched and anxious. He doesn’t know what this is. When Cas’s fingers land on his belt buckle, he has to fight hard not to shove him away, to yell at him to find someone better, someone more deserving of that goddamn look in his eyes.”
Dean is head pastry chef at a four-star hotel in Kansas. Castiel is the newest member on the cleaning crew. He's quiet and skittish and no one knows why he's there; he doesn't fit in, he has no experience, and he's not telling. Dean thinks he must know the owner. Michael may be a dick, but even he has his soft spots. And Dean has to admit that if those wide blue eyes didn't do the trick, nothing would. OR: The one in which Castiel runs from an abusive relationship and Dean uses baked goods as therapy.
In which Castiel wonders what would have happened had his vessel been female, and Sam really thinks he should discuss that with Dean.
