She pushes an old shirt to the side and softly hoots in surprise at what she has found.
An old film camera.
Via blinks in astonishment and carefully lifts it out of the box. The heavy weight is expected but it still manages to surprise her somehow. This is a really old model, vintage even! Via has never seen one like this in person, only ever in magazines or in old movies.
For a moment her heart drops because at a closer glance the camera looks broken. It's dirty and banged up and there are some weird markings all over the body. In some places the plastic looks almost like it has… melted?
She turns it in her hands and runs a finger over the lid of the film compartment. What looked like ordinary scratches are actually letters, deliberately carved into the surface, faded and barely legible.

Via finds an old film camera in Blitzø’s closet. While she takes pictures of her new family and tries to come to terms with her new normal, the camera holds secrets none of them could have ever imagined.
Stolas doesn’t have time to scream for Blitz to get away; doesn’t even have time to ask Blitz why he’s here, or how he knew Stolas needed help, because Andrealphus laughs maniacally.
“You think you’re a match for me, imp?” he says with disdain, with boredom.
Before either of them can react, there’s a blinding flash of light—a scream—a splatter of black as Blitz flies back with the force of the attack and collapses against Stolas’ chest.
Stolas and Blitz haven't seen each other since Verosika’s party. But, when a desperate Via calls Blitz for help, he rushes to the palace to save Stolas’ life. Will it cost Blitz his own?
“Fine,” Blitzø sighs, dumping the rest of his cereal into the sink. “Since you really wanna do chores, let’s do this thing.” He treats Stolas to a smile, all assurance and warmth, to coax the same onto the owl's features. He feels a little dizzy looking at him. “‘Cuz, y’know, it’ll take some weight off my shoulders.”
“Oh, Blitz! Really?” Stolas trills a gleeful owlish chirp, his white pupils morphing into star shapes. “This is going to be so much fun, my darling! How do we begin? What labor do we perform first?”

It had been four weeks since Stolas had come to stay with Blitzø after losing his title, his palace, and basically everything he had. It had been one week since Blitzø “hired” him as his secretary, because he could tell Stolas was bored out of his mind and he seemed really excited at the idea. It had been… he didn’t know how many months… since they had been intimate in any way.

Or; Blitzø has feelings for Stolas and they become BFFs, much to Blitzø's dismay...
“Hm?” Blitzø turned towards the billboard in question, squinting at it. “Uhhh… well I don’t know what that word says, but–”
“Aquarium.” Stolas offered.
“Uh huh. Ok. So it’s an aquarium.” Blitzø said.
Stolas turned to face him, rolling his eyes dramatically. “I’m asking what the thing on the billboard is, Blitzø. You know what an aquarium is, and that is certainly not an aquarium. For fuck’s sake.”
“Not my fault you didn’t specify what the fuck you meant, birdie.” Blitzø said with a playful nudge. He squinted at the billboard again. There was some kind of big ass fish on it with a big, stupid looking mouth. “I have no idea, some kind of fish I guess. It looks stupid.”
“Can we go see it?” Stolas asked, taking Blitzø by surprise. Stolas hadn’t really requested to go anywhere or do anything the past month.

If some vengeful sinner had come to settle shit with them again, then they had no fucking idea who they were messing with, and on the wrong fucking day too. Blitz just wanted to play out a new story he had come up with about his horse figurines and not think about his shitshow of a life, dammit.
“Sir, you gotta come see this,” Moxxie had squeaked, “We don’t know how to handle this.”
