Yuuri gets himself into trouble at a bar before he even gets drunk. Luckily for Yuuri, his hot neighbor and longtime crush, who Yuuri tries not to peek at while he wanders around his apartment, is also at the bar.
Having worked in a jewelry store for his entire life, Viktor recognizes what’s happening long before the beautiful— if sloppily dressed—stranger even enters the shop. As those of you who are familiar with the praxi knows, this means that all omegas that fall into the chosen group are prohibited from entering a mateship until an engagement between me and a chosen omega has been announced. This results in that all unmated omegas from the age of eighteen to twenty eight are now legally arranged to be mated to me, until an official engagement has been made."
The Nicholai Hall explodes with questions from the reporters as Lilia steps up to the microphone, while Yuuri keeps completely still, eyes wide and mouth hanging open, heart pounding in his chest.
About half of the population had a soulmate, and some of the things they wrote on their skin showed up on the other ones in the same place. Not all got transferred however, so holding conversations was practically impossible. “You have?” he asked. “Who am I sharing with then?”
“I assumed you wanted to share with Yuuri,” Mama said, and Victor felt his stomach flip. “You always did before.”
“I-,” Victor said, and felt his cheeks heat. He pushed down his scent as far as he could, to mask his mixed emotions. “Yeah we did.”
“So, that will be good then,” his Mama said proudly. “I know you haven’t seen each other in a while, but you always got along so well. I’m sure it will be good to reconnect.”
“Yeah,” Victor said, and focused back down on unpacking the food, and trying to calm his racing heart. How was he supposed to survive sleeping in the same room as Yuuri Katsuki for a full week?
