When Castiel’s plans for the summer get cancelled and he’s left with nowhere else to go, Dean invites his him to go home with him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating. And really it shouldn’t be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn’t actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.
Dean and Cas reunite at their fifteen-year high school reunion and after one night together Dean’s ready to marry the guy. But then he’s got a daughter back home that doesn’t necessarily make that equation possible, and so he does the next logical thing: high tails it out of Cas’ hotel room and doesn’t look back.
Well, that was the plan anyway.
Dean’s been avoiding Sam and Jess all night. He feels like shit for it, they are the couple of the evening after all, but he’s afraid they’re going to want to meet his date. The date he absolutely doesn’t not have.
