About the fandom
Good Omens is a popular fantasy novel about an angel and a demon working together to stop the apocalypse, written by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman. In May 2019 the miniseries starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant was released on Amazon Prime. The fandom has been active since the release of the book nearly 30 years ago, but the release of the miniseries has brought many new fans to this fandom. On July 28th, the second season was released and two months later, the third and final season was announced.
Ineffable husbands
Ineffable husbands is the canonical ship of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley. While the ship is not explicitly made canon in the book or the first season of the miniseries, Neil Gaiman has often stated that Good Omens is basically a love story. Michael Sheen, who plays Aziraphale, has often said that he believes that Aziraphale loves Crowley and plays him accordingly.
The relationship was made explicitly canon in the second season, when Crowley confessed his feelings and the two kissed. Sadly, the two parted ways afterwards.
Ineffable husbands is by far the most common pairing in the Good Omens fandom and has existed since the release of the book. With the release of the miniseries the ship became even more popular, with fanworks flowing in regularly.
