Our Flag Means Death is a period romantic comedy series created by David Jenkins. Set in the early 18th century during the Golden Age of Piracy, the series follows the misadventures of gentleman-turned-pirate Stede Bonnet and his crew aboard the Revenge as they try to make a name for themselves as pirates and cross paths with famed pirate captain Blackbeard.
BlackBonnet
BlackBonnet is the canonical ship of Stede Bonnet and Ed Teach, aka Blackbeard. Stede and Ed cross paths when Ed saves Stede's live and helps him get better. The two spend time aboard the Revenge, where Ed teaches Stede to be a pirate and Stede in turn teaches Ed about high society. During that time spend together, the two develop feelings for each other. After seperating at the end of the first season, because Stede decided to go back to his family, the two are reunited in the second season, after Stede realised his feelings for Ed and went back looking for him. After coming to terms with their feelings and what they want, the two decide to stop sailing as pirates and settle down together.
BlackBonnet is the most common pairing in the Our Flag Means Death fandom, as it is the main queer ship in the series.
