Bucky and Dr. Raynor have a follow-up session and two entirely different conversations about his relationship status.
Or: Let's do more couples therapy, James.
Sam Wilson does not need any more therapy, thank you very much. What he needs is for his boyfriend (official label TBD) to simmer the hell down.
Smooth sailing? Ha. Not even in a kiddie pool.
(aka when a couple of sweet idiots completely ignore Dr. Raynor's advice to actually talk to each other like grown ups.)
Bucky buys himself a bed. Sam comes for a visit. Bucky introduces Sam to his new bed. Other introductions don't go nearly as well.
(Alpine has opinions.)
Bucky asks Sam for a favor.
"You should always know how to turn the safety on before you pick up a gun."
Sam's eyebrows drew together. "You want to incapacitate yourself in a fight?" Not exactly what Sam was hoping for when they finally found Walker.
"No," Bucky said.
"Okay, good."
He looked Sam in the eyes. "I want you to do it."
Bucky regretted a lot of things in his too-long lifetime, but right now, at the very top of the list, with a very bold bullet point, was keeping that damn drone in the specs for Sam's new suit. Now the little pest wouldn't leave him alone.
But, he still had one last set of amends to make, after all.
